Lover of Amazon, yoga pants, and long weekends! I am a Southern woman, a devoted wife, and a proud mama of two loveable boys. After years of managing large scale events for the federal government, I decided I wanted to do something bigger than myself. I wanted to focus my passion and gifts on helping others. It is my goal to use my gifts to help create beautiful, memorable weddings and hopefully remove the stress of wedding planning allowing my couples to focus on what truly matters, continuing to build a strong foundation for marriage. My passion is fueled when I see the direct impact of my hard work on the smiling faces of beautiful brides as they enjoy the wedding they have dreamed about for years!
Planning has always been a strong gift of mine. I blame the fact that I have a strong Type-A personality. You should ask my best friend since high school/college roommate about my college course spreadsheet which listed when I would take each class throughout the years to meet my degree requirements! Back then, I wanted to be a marriage counselor, but things didn't work out that way and instead following graduation I entered the federal government workforce as a contractor. I would spend the next 11 years planning large scale exercises.
The idea of entrepreneurship had never crossed my mind, not until my mom left the government contracting and bought a wedding dress boutique. One foot in the door and I knew my future was in the Wedding Industry. I founded Sweetly Southern Events eight months later and I have never looked back!
